SOFTBALL RULES CLINIC

MHSA/ MOA RULES CLINICS – NEW FORMAT ON ARBITER

  • Each sport now includes:
    • General MHSA or MOA Rules Clinic
    • Sport-Specific Rules Clinic (MHSA/NFHS updates)
  • Good news for multi-sport coaches or officials.  You only need to complete the General Rules Clinic once per year for MHSA/MOA.  However, you must complete a Sport-Specific Clinic for each season (Fall, Winter, Spring).
  • Take the course in Arbiter through your coach compliance area.  Viewing Eligibility Requirements
    • You will want to sign into arbiter.io with the email address your AD added you with
    • Once signed in, you will then click on your name at the top right corner (drop down)
    • Then click on My Account
    • Then click on Eligibility
    • Then you can click on the sport and eligibility requirements that are required by the MHSA
    • **Your AD must add you to a team roster before you are enrolled into an eligibility as a coach
    • If they are saying they can’t get to the eligibility page then here is a direct link: https://app.arbitersports.com/eligibility/coach
  • Once completed, your status will automatically update in Arbiter under your compliance area:

TRACKING & REPORTING COMPLIANCE

  • Arbiter will track all coach compliance this year.
  • Coaches are responsible for confirming their administrator receives course verification.
  • Administrators must report successful completion to MHSA annually.
  • Compliance is officially reviewed each spring.

For All Coaching Requirements see the MHSA Clinics Page.
