Montana High School Tennis: Precision, Passion, and Perseverances
Since becoming an MHSA-sanctioned sport in the spring of 1967, high school tennis in Montana has blended individual skill and team spirit across a dynamic postseason structure. Each May, top athletes from across all classifications converge at the MHSA State Tennis Championships—culminating a season defined by competition, consistency, and character.
The tournament crowns champions in singles and doubles play for both boys and girls, with storied programs like Billings Central, Bozeman, and Loyola Sacred Heart making their mark over the years. Whether it’s a hard-fought singles rally or a perfectly executed doubles strategy, each match is a testament to hours of dedication on and off the court.
With a focus on sportsmanship, focus, and endurance, MHSA tennis continues to thrive as a spring tradition—offering student-athletes from across the state a chance to compete, grow, and leave their legacy.
