Class B & C Golf: Where Grit Meets Greatness
Golf has been part of Montana’s high school sports landscape for nearly a century, with boys’ competition officially sanctioned by the MHSA in 1928 and girls’ in 1936. In the early years, only individual state champions were recognized, with team scoring introduced in 1956 for boys and 1966 for girls. The sport continued to evolve, and by 1978, separate classifications were established, allowing schools to compete for team and individual titles within their class. Today, Class AA and A schools compete in the fall season, while Class B and C schools take to the course in the spring, showcasing talent and tradition from across the state.
